Katun Export Policy
Katun’s policy on the export and re-export of products to destinations or countries that are subject to U.S. embargoes or sanctions
Unless authorized by the United States Government, Katun Corporation prohibits the export and reexport of Katun products, and the provision of Katun services, to destinations subject to United States embargoes or trade sanctions.
Government policy is to deny requests for such export or reexport authorization in almost all cases.
As of November 2006, the following countries are subject to United States trade embargoes or sanctions:
- Cuba
- Iran
- North Korea
- Syria
- Sudan
The comprehensive embargo on exports to Iraq has been lifted. However, Katun products may require an export license to be shipped to Iraq in certain circumstances.
The list of embargoed or sanctioned countries is subject to change. Current information on sanctioned countries is available from the Department of the Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Controls (OFAC). SeeĀ www.ustreas.gov/offices/enforcement/ofac/.
Effective August 31, 2006, Libya was removed from the list of embargoed destinations. Libya is now a Tier 3 country for purposes of hardware exports, and is in Country Group D1 for technical data control purposes. A license
